Hunter Merrifield is delighted to be working with a leading think tank to recruit assessment Markers to assist in the evaluation of a culture-based education project.

Assessment Markers will mark Writing Assessment Measures (WAM) completed by primary pupils as part of a randomised control trial. The marking will be carried out on the University College London (UCL) campus over 2 weeks between mid-July and mid-August.

Assessment Markers will be required to follow the mark scheme for the assessment carefully and accurately, submitting the marked assessments at the end of each day to the team.

It is desirable for candidates to be:

Currently enrolled in, or a recent graduate of, a PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate of Education) or equivalent.

They must demonstrate:

  1. Self-motivation and a proactive approach to work;
  2. Ability to meet deadlines and targets;
  3. Excellent organisational and team-working skills;
  4. Experience marking pupil assessments or outcome measures;
  5. Attention to detail;
  6. Available to attend a half-day training session in London at the beginning of July 2019 (date TBC);
  7. Available to work at least 20hrs per week (in London) for 2 weeks between mid-July and mid-August
