We have an opportunity to support the Membership team of leading professional body for a period of 4-6 weeks. The successful candidate will be liaising directly with members to answer their queries and process their payments, as well as sending out membership pack, and updating the CRM. Delivering excellent customer service to welcome, support and advise members the role contributes to the growth of the member base.

What will my responsibilities be?

  • Process membership and subscriber application forms, renewal forms, Direct Debit mandates, stationary and bookshop orders and other administrative items in a timely manner
  • Produce mailing lists and implement mail outs using the CRM, Excel and Word
  • Contribute to the efficient delivery of the annual membership renewal programme
  • Update reports from the CRM and other sources on email and call volumes, outbound call conversions and mailings undertaken
  • Working in a GDPR compliant manner, undertake routine data checks to maintain the accuracy of the data on the CRM and implement the data retention policy

What experience do I need to be successful in this post?

  • Experience working with a CRM system for customer record management, administration, communications and reporting
  • Dealing with large volumes of email using a shared Outlook inbox and functionality such as quick parts and categories

  • Financial administration, experience with the Direct Debit process would be useful.
  • Good understanding of Data Protection principles.

We are seeking an experienced Online Community Manager to work with a government agency on a ground-breaking digital platform to support London's diverse community. The successful candidate will develop and manage consumer focused campaigns and acquisition plans (including digital and offline channels), in order to grow a diverse online community. The Officer will be responsible for planning and managing delivery of those activities and campaigns as well as reporting on performance.

This is an incredibly exciting opportunity to use your knowledge and experience to be part of a unique a project that enables communities to directly impact public policy. This is a temporary role for a minimum of 3 months.

What do you need?

  • Demonstrable experience of working in and audience development role, or of planning and delivering impactful marketing acquisition activity and campaigns
  • Demonstrable experience of running social media advertising
  • Demonstrable online communications experience, including proofreading and editing
  • Experience in managing agencies e.g. to create and run digital content and digital ads
  • Excellent reporting and analytical skills, with Google Analytics experience and knowledge of other tools for web analytics e.g. Data Studio
  • Experience of website content management systems and email campaign software
  • Experience of Search Engine Optimisation

What will my role entail?

  • To work on acquisition initiatives to grow the community membership, particularly targeting underrepresented member groups. This will include working to develop and deliver compelling, highly shareable campaigns and content
  • Take a rigorous approach to campaign planning and management, ensuring that objectives are clearly defined, appropriate performance management processes are in place, propositions are based on consumer behaviour and need.
  • Set up, test, run and optimise social media advertising, as needed during campaigns and for ongoing acquisition programmes, with target CPAs and in conjunction with the Marketing, and the Digital and Creative Services team.

  • Work on search engine optimisation to enhance member acquisition from organic search traffic, and track the effects of SEO efforts.
  • Make use of influencers for the purposes of member acquisition, including GLA influencers (question on whether this should sit with the new person or with Kate) and other external influencers who are able to connect with our target audiences.
  • Be results-driven, tracking every aspect of work and optimising efforts towards most effective engagement tactics and user journeys, communications and copy. Work closely with the Digital Analyst to track and enhance performance, and to provide and present end-of-project reports
  • With the Online Community & Product Manager and the Community Engagement Officer, to plan full user journeys; from initial engagement to sign-up conversion and through to active participation in content on Talk London itself. Take a proactive and collaborative approach to managing overlap in your work areas.

The IOP is a global membership network and charity at the forefront of the Physics community. They run a range of programmes that deliver an impact across education and business and work closely with policymakers to create increased awareness and understanding of the value that physics holds for all of us.

The IOP is passionate about recognition within this sector and has an established and widely recognised Awards scheme. These awards reflect the breadth of work in the physics community - spanning academia, industry, education, and outreach. This is a busy and exciting time for the team, so they are now looking to take on a confident, data-driven Project Manager to support this programme for a period of 3 -4 months.

What would I be doing on a day to day basis?

This is a diverse role with a variety of responsibilities and the successful candidate will work with teams across the organisation. Your day to day task will be split into the following areas:

Groups:

  • Ensure successful delivery of 50 Groups managing governance, committees, budgets, member participation and digital presence as well as progressing potential new groups

Business Innovation & Growth Group:

  • Build a delivery schedule for Business Innovation and Growth Group (network to support entrepreneurs and physicists/innovators in small, medium and large businesses), running workshops and events across nations and regions
  • Run sector-focussed open innovation programmes to address industry challenges

Awards:

  • Deliver the IOP's prestigious Awards programme (science awards, honorary fellows, Philips award), including coordination across other departments and marketing to stakeholders
  • Increase engagement and impact of Business awards, ensuring high value to winners

General:

  • Identify and manage partnerships to add value to programmes, adding delivery capacity and expanding market reach
  • Lead business innovation and entrepreneurial workshops to support entrepreneurial physicists and start-up businesses.
  • Manage relationships with senior level stakeholders including the Institute's members, it's Science & Innovation and Groups Committee members, as well as political, academic and industrial contacts

What do I need to be successful in this post?

  • You will be a natural self-starter, with lots of energy and a good eye for detail.
  • Ability to prioritise, and coordinate multiple projects and competing work demands.
  • Ability to see the "big picture" while managing several small projects.
  • Comfortable reporting works orally or in writing to supervisor as required.

We are working with an award winning Museum with a strong heritage brand. They are looking for a part time Membership and Donations Administrator to support the Development Department for 3 months - this is an immediate start.

Your role will be to deliver the Museum's Membership and Visitor programme whilst contributing to its growth and the Museum's wider vision.

What are my day to day responsibilities?

  • Manage the Museum's Membership programme including the administration, recruitment and retention of members.
  • Processing Membership applications and renewals, including welcome packs and payments.
  • Manage Visitor Supporter donations ensuring records are managed accurately and in a timely manner on the CRM database (Raiser's Edge).
  • Act as the first point of contact for all Members and prospective members who want to renew their Membership.
  • Ensure accurate and timely receipt and acknowledgement of donations, Membership requests and fulfilment, ensuring full details are recorded accurately via the Raiser's Edge database.
  • Write content for the online newsletter.
